The Purpose
The commercial property had an older scupper box and downspout system that had become worn and outdated. The client needed a dependable replacement capable of directing roof runoff safely down the building and away from the entrance and surrounding walkways.
Our team removed the existing drainage components and replaced them with a custom-fabricated galvanized system built to the property’s specific measurements. We are fully covered to perform commercial rain gutter installations and large-scale projects throughout Arizona.
The Challenge
Commercial buildings rarely follow a single standard design. The new scupper box and downspouts had to fit the existing roof drain opening, follow the building’s layout, and connect correctly from the roofline to the ground.
The client also wanted the replacement system painted to match the previous drainage components and the building’s exterior. Because galvanized material does not arrive with the same factory-finished color selection as aluminum gutters, the completed system required a custom-painted finish.
Custom Drainage Built for a Commercial Property
Scupper boxes collect water from roof or wall openings and direct it into the downspout system. Because the size and placement of these openings can vary greatly between commercial buildings, each component must be measured and fabricated for the specific property.
Starting with the in-person estimate, our team documented the existing system, gathered the required dimensions, and planned the replacement. The old components were then removed before the new galvanized scupper box and downspouts were custom-made and installed in Phoenix, Arizona.
Why Galvanized Material Was Selected
Galvanized material provides the strength and durability needed for a heavy-duty commercial drainage system. It is especially useful when a project requires custom dimensions that cannot be handled with standard residential gutter components.
Depending on the building’s design and project requirements, we can also provide commercial drainage solutions using aluminum, Galvalume, steel, or other appropriate materials. Our rain gutter services include custom scupper boxes, custom downspout dimensions, removal, and replacement for residential and commercial properties.

Commercial Work Completed with Experience
The custom fabrication and removal were the most detailed parts of this project, but this type of work is routine for our experienced team.
Although boom lifts are available when required for larger or taller commercial properties, this installation was safely completed using professional heavy-duty ladders. The result is a strong, reliable drainage system that fits the building properly and blends naturally with its exterior.
