The Purpose

The homeowner wanted to protect the property from two of Phoenix’s biggest exterior challenges: sudden roof runoff during monsoon storms and intense sunlight entering through exposed windows.

Our team installed seamless aluminum K-style gutters to collect and redirect rainwater, along with custom 90% sun screens to reduce heat and glare before sunlight reached the windows. The result was a practical whole-home upgrade that improved protection, comfort, and curb appeal.

The Challenge

Because the project included two different services, the gutter finish, downspouts, sun-screen fabric, and aluminum frames needed to complement the home and one another.

The work also required careful scheduling. Our team completed the rain gutter installation first while the custom screens were being fabricated, then returned within approximately one week to install the finished sun screens. This allowed the homeowner to receive the first completed service without waiting unnecessarily for every component.

Coordinating Rain and Sun Protection

The seamless K-style gutters were custom-fitted along the roofline to manage runoff and direct water through strategically placed downspouts. K-style is the most popular residential gutter profile, while seamless construction reduces the number of joints in the system.

The exterior sun screens were measured individually and fabricated to fit the home’s windows. SunTex 90 fabric blocks up to 90% of the sun’s heat and glare, helping reduce unwanted solar exposure while maintaining a clean exterior appearance.

Protection That Also Complements the Home

Color coordination was an important part of the finished result. The gutter system was selected to blend with the roofline and exterior trim, while the sun-screen frames and fabric were matched to the home’s existing colors.

Installing solar screens on the exterior helps intercept sunlight before it strikes the glass, which can reduce unwanted solar heat gain and improve indoor comfort during hot weather.

Custom-fitted aluminum gutters provide dependable drainage with fewer joints.

The gutters, downspouts, screen fabric, and frames were selected to complement the home.

The gutters were installed first, followed by the custom screens once fabrication was complete.
